Shaggy: I want to be Hugh Hefner

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Reggae artist Shaggy's dream job is to be Hugh Hefner.

The 42-year-old Jamaican-born musician is one of the most successful reggae artists of all time, thanks to international hits such as Boombastic and It Wasn't Me.

Despite his victory in the music industry, the singer has revealed that his idol comes from a rather different background.

"Hugh Hefner," he replied during a magazine interview when asked who he would like to swap lives with. "I'd love to be the Jamaican Hugh Hefner. I always wanted to be a fireman too."

Shaggy would love the chance to meet his idol who founded the famous Playboy magazine and is known for dating women much younger than him.

"I've never had the pleasure of meeting him, but he keeps getting all these younger wives. He's a man of my own heart," Shaggy added.

The star has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and has had huge success due to his unique baritone-range singing voice. He is still committed to making music, but admits he isn't too impressed with some of the current chart stars.

"I wish I wasn't this passionate about music. It's a drawback, because music changes and you're meant to roll with it even if its garbage," he lamented. (C) Cover Media
