(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Shakira and Plan B are among the acts set to perform at this years MTV EMA awards.

The Columbian sex symbol and British rapper will join the likes of Katy Perry, Kings of Leon, Ke$ha, Kid Rock and Linkin Park who are also performing on the big stage at next months star-studded event in Madrid, Spain.

Shakira is expected to mesmerise millions of viewers with her performance - as she never fails to disappoint with her raunchy dancing talents. The 33-year-old singer is also in the running for an important prize on the night.

Everyones favourite Colombian pop princess Shakira will also perform," MTV said. "Shes up for the Best Female award after a 2010 where her official World Cup anthem Waka Waka has crashed charts across the continent."

Plan B - whose real name is Ben Drew has been asked to sprinkle some of his performance magic on the crowd at the November 7 event after enjoying a successful year in the charts and receiving a nomination at the event.

After a massive year the UK rapper-cum-singer tops it off by being nominated for the prestigious Best Video award with his song Prayin. And hes also gained a reputation for great live performances, so hes bound to be a highlight on the night, MTV added.

Eva Longoria Parker was recently announced as the award ceremonys host and now more big names have thrown their hat into the ring to hand out the winners prizes.

Pauly D from the MTV show Jersey Shore, Jackass star Jonny Knoxville, Disney actress Emily Osment and practical jokers The Dudesons will all appear on stage to present awards. (C) Cover Media
