(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sharon Stone is being sued by a nanny that she once employed to look after her children.
Erlinda Elemen claims in her lawsuit that the actress made derogatory statements about her Filipino accent and said her people were "stupid."
The child care worker was promoted to lead nanny in 2008 and travelled extensively with Sharon and her three sons until the Basic Instinct star fired her in 2011, according to RadarOnline.
Erlinda also alleges that she sometimes worked seven days a week, was not allowed to have a bible in the star's home and Sharon accused her of "stealing" for getting overtime payments and demanded that the money was returned.
"Because abuses in overtime pay are common for household employees it seems ironic that Ms. Stone initially did the right thing and paid Mrs. Elemen overtime wages and then terminated her for accepting those same wages," the nanny's lawyer Solomon Gresen said in a statement.
Erlinda claims that Sharon is in violation of labour laws and had filed a complaint with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing last February alleging harassment, failure to prevent harassment and retaliation, among other things.
The suit also claims that Sharon told Erlinda that she didn't want her children to "talk like you." (C) Cover Media
