(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Charlie Sheen has denied claims he and ex-wife Brooke Mueller are attempting to restore their romantic relationship.

Charlie and Brooke are currently vacationing together in Mexico. Despite numerous reports to the contrary, Charlie insists he and Brooke are just friends and are not attempting to get back together. His relationship with their children, two-year-old twins Bob and Max, is his primary motivation for an amicable connection with Brooke.

"[Brooke and I are] good friends trying to be great parents," Charlie told TMZ. "[We are] working on mending the bridges, replanting scorched earth. The goal is harmony."

Brooke is currently undergoing treatment for substance abuse at a rehabilitation centre. Charlie has been impressed by Brooke's progress and wanted to acknowledge her achievement by taking her on vacation.

"[The Mexico trip is a] birthday/you're doing great in rehab [gift]," Charlie explained.

Charlie is thoroughly enjoying his time with Brooke. Taking to Twitter several times this weekend, Charlie updated his fans on their holiday.

"#mexico romantic weekend in Mexico... celebrating Brooke's birthday...! can you guess where we are..? xo c (sic)," Charlie tweeted Saturday.

"Epic weekend!! Amazing time w Brooke in #MEXICO..! Ocean is warm... The pool is insane... like a moat around our villa..!! Love it here.. (sic)!" Charlie tweeted again on Sunday.

Charlie and Brooke officially divorced in May this year. (C) Cover Media
