(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Snooki has missed a Jersey Shore party to spend time with her son.

The reality TV star real name Nicole Polizzi and her fianc Jionni LaValle welcomed their son Lorenzo into the world in August.

The MTV show is in its last season and a bash was thrown to celebrate its premiere last week. Snooki reportedly decided spending time with her family was more important.

"Snooki called [co-star] Deena Cortese before the party," an insider told New York Post. "Snooki told her she wasn't going, but it had nothing to do with the rest of the cast. She wanted to stay home with the kid."

Deena surprised guests with her trim figure, having dropped 15lbs. recently.

Pauly D was also in attendance and showed off his jewellery collection. He is famed for wearing glitzy chains and was sporting a long version studded with gems which was a gift from rapper 50 Cent. It included the letters SK, in a nod to the hip-hop star's energy drink Street King.

Jwoww full name Jenni Farley was overheard discussing her impending nuptials at the party in the Meatpacking District of New York City. She is planning to wed Roger Mathews in Last Vegas next year.
