Sonakshi happy with 'The Disco Song'

18th January 2013

Sonakshi Sinha stepped in the starry club of making special appearances with Akshay Kumar's film 'OMG - Oh My God' where she had a special dance number with filmmaker and choreographer Prabhu Deva. However, that one was passed on as a special appearance.

Sonakshi's latest guest appearance was touted to mark her entry in the 'item number' club. But her dance number in Sajid Khan's remake of 'Himmatwala' is far from being what they call an 'item song'.

The film which is on the lines of 'the disco song' inspired by the 80s, has Sonakshi donning two most famous avatars of that era, designed by Manish Malhotra. She has donned a complete black suit which is inspired by Sridevi's look in one of the songs in her film 'Chalbaaz', whereas her other avatar is that of Parveen Babi's look in the song 'Pyaar Karne Waale' from the film 'Shaan'.

Sonakshi confessed that she thoroughly watched the videos before shooting for the song in the remake of the film.

Film's director Sajid Khan and Sonakshi, both are extremely satisfied with the way it has shaped up. Hopefully, it lives up to the expectations when it finally releases.
