The controversy had hit them when Sonam regarded Aishwarya as her senior and referred to her as 'aunty' citing the fact that the latter had worked with Sonam's dad Anil Kapoor. However, the controversy was soon put to rest when Sonam joined Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the coveted list of brand ambassadors for a leading international beauty care brand.

Sonam and Ash both as the face of the brand had graced Cannes films festival last year and comparisons were obviously made between them. This year too, the duo is gearing up for their respective appearances at the talked about gala event. While it was uncertain that Ash will be gracing the event post the delivery of her new born baby, the organizers have confirmed that she will certainly be a part of the festival this year too.
