Bollywood celebrities performing at private functions and high-profile weddings is a trend that is only getting more popular by the day and our stars are busy generating big bucks from the same.

We have heard about Salman Khan, Malaika Arora Khan, singer Mika Singh, Akshay Kumar and Mallika Sherawat performing at weddings, but Shah Rukh Khan is the star, who ultimately takes the cake.

While Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan do not vouch for the idea of wedding performances and Salman has stayed away due to his sickness, other A-league stars are busy with their movie commitments. Hence, SRK is milking the opportunity and is in a way enjoying the 'monopoly' feel.

If sources are to be believed, SRK charges close to 8 crores for a wedding performance, and that was in fact the fee that he charged for a mere 30 minute act at a fancy wedding at the Madinat Jumeirah hotel in Dubai early this week.

Based on sources close to the actor, SRK receives around 250 offers to perform at weddings every year, but given his movies and IPL commitments, the actor does have to be meticulous when committing to performances.

So he only prefers to accept performance invitations from sources whom he personally knows and of the multiple offers he received last year he only acknowledged 10.

It does sound like a low number of performances, but from the exorbitant fees charged by the actor, it is certainly a sweet cushion that only gets bigger by the year.
