(Cover) - EN Star Style - strid Bergs-Frisbey had to intensify her skin routine whilst filming for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

The Spanish-French actress played mermaid Syrena in the latest installment of the Pirate franchise starring Johnny Depp. The stunning star spent up to twelve hours a day submerged in water during shooting, and has revealed that she had to take extra care with her skin regime because it became so sensitive.

"My skin is very sensitive and was even more so when I was filming because of all the makeup and prosthetics I wore every day," she explained in an interview with Teen Vogue.

strid says maintaining healthy skin is the most important part of her beauty routine. The beauty says nothing is more gorgeous than a radiant complexion that doesn't need make-up.

"For me, taking care of your skin is the most important step. You can cover it with all the make-up you have, and it's still not as nice as beautiful skin," she said.

strid revealed filming in water for the majority of Pirates was more grueling that she initially thought. The 25-year-old has insisted however that the physical acting allowed her to increase her endurance fitness.

"Working in water is so difficult. But I liked having something very physical to do you realise you're strong. It's a really good feeling," she explained. (C) Cover Media
