(Cover) - EN Fashion - Investing in fashion staples is the key to looking stylish on a budget, celebrity stylist Kirsty Drury says.

The British fashion expert has dressed a range of high-profile stars including singer Kylie Minogue and supermodel Claudia Schiffer. Kirsty has made a name for herself working with celebrities, but says her real passion is helping normal women look good without spending a fortune.

Kirsty says the secret to looking fabulous for less is as simple as resisting the temptation to buy standout pieces and stocking up on quality basics instead.

“Looking stylish on a budget is all about reconsidering what you’re buying,” Kirsty told Cover Media. “Don’t be swayed by those high fashion pieces that you’re gonna wear once and people are going to remember them and you’re not going to want to wear them again. Go for something that has longevity.

“Follow the trends in your accessories, which tend to be quite cheap, and keep your clothing down to a few staple items - a great pair of cargo pants, a great pair of jeans, a great cashmere knit. Those items will last you for years.”
