September 18, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Sudeep Sahir and Anantika have started keeping Ganpati every year since last year. This year they kept one and a half day Ganpati. The special thing is it's their new born Arwaan's first Ganpati. Sudeep says, "Why we started keeping Ganpati was because I asked Ganpatiji that I want my family to be extended. So I was super happy this year. I wanted his blessing and my son was born a month back."
But unlike the tradition, Sudeep doesn't offer sweets like Modak to Ganeshji. Strangely, he serves to Ganpati all the things that kids love to eat, like pizzas, burgers, soft drinks and juices. In his building, there is already buzz among the kids that like last year they have to go to his Ganpati with parents as they get all the fun foods at his place.
Confirming the same, he says, "It's my idea to serve to Ganpati what kids like, as we think of Ganpati as a kid. We even pack a special tiffin of goodies when we take the Ganpati for Visarjan as he should have good stuff to eat during his journey. It's my son Arwaan's first Ganpati so we are more thrilled."
Well, with your unique way of celebrating Ganpati, your favourite song must be O my Friend Ganesha Tu Rahna Saath Hamesha!
