(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Taylor Swift and Reese Witherspoon have reportedly been discussing their mutual ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.

Taylor, 21, and Reese, 35, were having lunch together at the Boa Steakhouse in Los Angeles last week. Their main topic of conversation was their experience of dating Jake.

"They talked about how vain and self-absorbed Jake can be," a source close to the conversation told Us Weekly. "They laughed about it."

Reese and Jake dated each other for around two years before calling off their relationship at the end of 2009.

Taylor dated Jake briefly in 2010, calling it quits after two months of romance. Reese is now married to agent Tim Roth and Taylor has also moved on.

Sharing an ex-boyfriend does not put a damper on Taylor and Reese's friendship. When the pair - who are both from Tennessee - met at the Academy of Country Music Awards in April, they instantly bonded. They are planning to spend time with each other in the future as Taylor has invited Reese to one of her concerts.

Reese's most recent movie Water for Elephants was released this spring. Taylor is currently performing a series of concerts worldwide for her Speak Now album tour. (C) Cover Media
