However, Arulnithi has reemerged in an entirely fresh avatar in his second movie, Udhayan, which, as per Arulnithi, is a movie located in the urban areas. It is a dramatic film that amalgamates action as well as romance in which Arulnithi enacts the character of a banks bureaucrat.

He has remarked that he opted for Udhayan, which intends to be a money-making potboiler, since he was rather satisfied with the story narrated by the director, Chaplin.
