Taylor Kitsch no time for romance

2nd March 2012

Taylor Kitsch "didn't have time" to hit on any "beautiful" British girls while he was working in the UK.

The Canadian-born hunk filmed sequences for his new science-fiction action film John Carter in London. Despite finding the native women very attractive, the actor's attempts at romance were unsuccessful because of his hectic schedule.

"British girls are beautiful. I love the accent. No [I don't have my eye on anyone in particular]. I was working so much. Six day weeks for four months, you don't have time!" he exclaimed to Cover Media at the UK premiere of John Carter.

Taylor loves England. The 30-year-old starred alongside British actors including Dominic West and Samantha Morton in the movie, and was intrigued by their way of working.

"I've been here five hours, so it's been amazing. I love coming up here, man. I get treated so well, and the cast is like 90 per cent Brits, so I've learnt a lot from these guys," he said. "It's a good time.

"We shot so much of the film here right, so I've definitely lived her for four plus months and I'm going to be back a couple more times with some other films as well."

Taylor admitted to missing something about being in America though.

"We're pretty spoilt with food. We have some good food," he smiled.

Taylor worked with director Andrew Stanton on his first live-action film. The star was thrilled to collaborate with the award-winning filmmaker on the project.

"I didn't have one heartbeat where I questioned the guy. I've never met anyone who has prepped as much as he has in my life, with anything. And I think with that, it eliminates doubt and enhances trust," he explained.

Taylor is also starring in upcoming Peter Berg's Battleship, alongside Liam Neeson and Rihanna. He gushed about working with the action veteran.

"Liam is amazing," he said.

John Carter is released in the UK on Friday March 9.
