(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Taylor Momsen says she would love to make music for the rest of her life.

The 17- year-old is best known for her portrayal of Jenny Humphrey in US show Gossip Girl. As well as starring in a hit television show, Taylor also heads rock band The Pretty Reckless. With the band securing a record deal in 2009 with Interscope Records hopes are high for a successful musical career, something which would delight Taylor.

I want to make great records. I want to write great songs. I want to do this for the rest of my life. I want to make records for the rest of my life and have each one better than the last, and making myself better at what I do, she told Kerrang! magazine.

The young starlet believes her profile in Gossip Girl could hinder her progress as a musician. Taylor is fully aware that any dislike towards her character could transcend to other projects and as a result urges the general public to give her music a chance.

If people know me from the show or dont like me because of the show, or dont like the way I look or the way I dress, then all I ask is dont let that affect you listening to the record, she added. (C) Cover Media
