Getting chapters from history on celluloid has been filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker's favourite genre.  

Sharing the poster of his upcoming film titled 'Panipat' he wrote, "Historical dramas have always fascinated me. This time it is a story about what led to the Third Battle of #Panipat. The teaser poster has a sword held by a warrior with the backdrop of war field, saffron flags, armies heading against each other to battle it out on the war field.

The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead. Following the director's announcement, Dutt too shared the poster and wrote, "Looking forward to be a part of this one #Panipat@agpplofficial #sunitagowariker @AshGowariker @visionworldfilm #rohitshelatkar @arjunk26 @kritisanon #PanipatTeaserPoster."

Arjun Kapoor wrote on his twitter handle, "Proud to bring the valour of the Maratha warriors to the big screen! Here’s the first Teaser Poster of #Panipat @agpplofficial #sunitagowariker @AshGowariker @visionworldfilm #rohitshelatkar@kritisanon @duttsanjay #PanipatTeaserPoster."

Along with sharing the poster, the director also booked a release date for his next. The film will release on December 6, 2019.
