'Tere Jaisa Tu Hai' is truly aspiring & emotional

30th July 2018

The makers of 'Fanney Khan' are out with a brand new song titled 'Tere Jaisa Tu Hai' and it is an emotionally entwining number revolving around Pihu Sand aka Lata Sharma who wants to be an aspiring singer but is taken down by the woes of the society by body shaming her.

The song beautifully showcases the mindset of the middle-class father played by Anil Kapoor who tries to understand his daughter's dreams and want to contribute something big for a star in the making. There are a series of emotional scenes that are going to touch your heart straight away.

Sung by Monali Thakur and composed by Amit Trivedi. These meaningful lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil and gives us a reason to hear it on repeat mode. Click here to watch 'Tere Jaisa Tu Hai' official music video.

The song features 20-year-old Pihu, who plays a wannabe singer in the film. She had to gain 20 kg for her role. Bhumi Pednekar had done something similar for her debut film 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' and Pihu was inspired from the act.

Speaking about this she said, "When I saw Dum Laga Ke Haisha, I saw how heavy she was in the film but over and above she did such a good job. She gained weight for what she loved and yes that inspired me. I did the same because I love what I was going to do in Fanney Khan."

Bankrolled by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network and T-Series, 'Fanney Khan' is set to release on August 3.
