On December 4, 2016 India celebrated the Indian Navy Day with great pomp and show. On this occasion the first look of the film 'The Ghazi Attack' was released by the makers. The film is based on the peculiar sinking of PNS Ghazi, a submarine from Pakistan used during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The film narrates the story of a naval officer and his team who were under the water for over 18 days.
It will also be India's first underwater film as no film with such a strong subject is made earlier. Currently the film is under its post-production phase. Rana Daggubati will essay the role of the naval officer and Taapsee Pannu will play the role of a refugee. The first look of the film is shared Taapsee and well as Karan Johar who will be presenting the film along with AA Films.
The poster shows the underwater view of the submarine along with the name and release date of the film. The tagline of the film reads 'The war You Did Not Know About.' Directed by Sankalp, the film releases on February 17, 2017.
