August 13, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The wooden set of the Kannada film Dhandam Dashagunam at Chaklihole dam in Kushalnagar close to Dubare forest has become a major attraction for the media after the movie crew visited the place on Wednesday morning. This is the place, where a song was shot. The song featured Ramya and Chiranjeevi Sarja and was choreographed by Chinni Prakash.
The set was constructed as per the designs by the famous art director Mohan B. Kere. An estimated total of 45 carpenters were needed; they toiled over 40 days to complete the set and nearly 22 lakhs of rupees were spent.
The set was erected amidst the forest. This locale was selected after a place in Sri Lanka was rejected by producer Ganesh as well as the art director Mohan B. Kere. The set was 'set' before the dam. Water overflowed the dam and gushed in.The flood caused an extra expenditure of nearly five lakhs of rupees. Mohan B. Kere had to go nine feet deep with divers to keep the structure intact. He deserves a round of applause for this undying enthusiasm.
