(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino says that he was worried he would die young.
The 30-year-old reality star opened up to In Touch about his recent battle with pain medication and what made him seek help.
Having found fame and fortune on Jersey Shore, Mike say's that it all became too much and he hit rock bottom.
"I was in a hotel room watching a movie," he shared although he can't recall which city he was in because he was in the throes of his addiction that saw him taking up to 15 Oxycodone pills a day.
He remembers the film he was watching starred Brittany Murphy who died at age 32 in 2009.
"All of a sudden, I was like, Wait, didn't she die on prescription painkillers? That could be me,'" he recalled.
"Am I going to be that guy that was so awesome on the Jersey Shore and then that's it?"
Mike says he tried to wean himself off the pills but couldn't even get out of bed for an appearance in Australia a few weeks later that he was being paid "$40,000 just to hang out for an hour."
But after a stay in rehab to detox, Mike says he feels like "a new person" and is "ready to conquer the world." (C) Cover Media
