Mother of R&B superstar Beyonc Knowles, Tina is a successful clothing designer for her brand House of Deron, and she recently unveiled her latest fashion collection, Miss Tina by Tina Knowles, exclusively at US store Walmart.

She appeared on US talk show The View to discuss the line yesterday, in which she dished out advice on how women can look their best. She explained stomach-smoothing underwear like Spanx are a must-have for females around the globe, but it is important to keep them in place.

Spanx were the best thing ever made, she enthused. And tack your Spanx to your bra safety pin it so it doesnt roll down.

Tina was showing off new pieces from the collection, with her superstar daughter also on hand. The range caters for women of all sizes and is also affordable, with some of the dresses as little as $18.

Tina has always been interested in fashion, and used to make stage costumes for Beyonc and her Destinys Child bandmates. She enjoys the process of sewing clothes as much as the design aspect, revealing she is often approached by fans of her daughter who want her to make them prom dresses.
