(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tommy Mottola's biographical documentary is said to be "nearing completion", and will feature footage of stars including Shakira and Cline Dion.

The 62-year-old American music executive famously helmed Sony Music Entertainment for almost 15 years, and has worked with some of the world's biggest names including Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan and his ex-wife Mariah Carey.

Sources have told New York Post that a movie detailing Tommy's illustrious career is "nearing completion", and is being directed by Richard Stratton.

Insiders claim the documentary, which is being partly supported by US television network VH1, will boast footage of big stars such as Canadian songstress Cline, Columbian pop star Shakira and Randy Jackson, famed for his role as a judge on televised signing competition American Idol.

The comprehensive documentary is being described as a must-see for music fans.

"The doc is of Tommy's life, but also documents the history of music, from Elvis to the iPod," explained a source.

Director Richard is also co-author of Tommy's upcoming memoirs, entitled The Last Starmaker. The hotly anticipated book is expected to clear up rumours about Tommy's failed marriage to Mariah. He is now married to Mexican singer Thala. (C) Cover Media
