Udayanidhi slams government

18th April 2012

Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, who made his heroic debut with Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, has hit out at the Tamil Nadu government for denying tax exemption to the movie.

Speaking to reporters in Chennai Tuesday evening, he said tax exemption was denied to Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, which happens to be his production venture as well, due to political reasons.

"When entertainment tax was exempted for a movie which has lyrics in English-Tamil and which has a scene in which the hero marries the heroine in a pub, why tax relief was not given to OK OK," he questioned.

Udhayanidhi Stalin is the grandson of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and son of former Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin.
