Currently sequels are ruling the charts in the industry. With every hit film, the news of its sequel follows. Be it 'Dabangg 2', 'Bheja Fry 2' or 'Double Dhamaal', the sequels are the flavour of the season. The latest to join the bandwagon is Ekta Kapoor's latest release, 'Ragini MMS'. The film that released just a few days back, already has a sequel which will soon follow. The film was on the lines of 'Paranormal Activity' and challenged the genre of 'Horror'. Producer Ekta had even claimed that the film will extend the boundaries of 'Horror' and tagged her film as the 'scariest date film ever'.

The film, post its release, got mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike. Whereas some gave the film a thumbs-up, others found it below the hype and expectations. However, since the film wasn't made on a high budget, it managed to recover its money, in the very first week. This has encouraged the film-makers, who are now all geared up to make a sequel to the film.

The sequel will carry forward the story from where the first part ended. The film will showcase Ragini's recovery from the trauma and the story behind the main plot in the first installment. The film is expected to go on floors by the year end and it is also rumoured that Ekta plans to make it in 3D. Looks like 'Ragini MMS' is here to stay.
