We've had an impression about the food items not being edible. But while, the stars are very particular about the food they eat, there is Varun Dhawan on the other end who not only ate but appreciated the quality of the food served at the Nashik Central Jail.

The entire team of his forthcoming film was shooting there a few months ago over a three-day schedule. It used to be a task to get food in and out of the jail, given the number of security rings it had to pass through.

Considering this, Varun put convenience over diet restrictions during that particular schedule, hence decided to eat food cooked in the jail for the inmates rather than investing time and efforts on getting something arranged from outside.

He ate food comprising dal, rotis and vegetable, and was very happy with the quality. "The food was actually pretty decent and clean and cooked very nicely," he confirmed.
