Son of famous director David Dhawan and brother of director Rohit Dhawan, Varun of course has Bollywood in his blood. But he never knew that until he got his first break in 2012.

As a child, Varun wanted to become a wrestler. But that was just a childhood dream as he later went to the U.K. to study business management.

The actor made quite an impression in his first movie. Playing a rich, spoiled brat, Varun and his co-stars Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra performed really well as new-comers. Varun also won two awards in the Best Male Debut category.

Currently, Varun is working with his father and producer Ekta Kapoor in the movie titled 'Main Tera Hero'.
