Tollywood is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons, with actor Varun Sandesh's name being dragged into the latest drug bust by the police. It all started this when a doctor and his Nigerian friend who were allegedly caught with cocaine, at Langer Houz in Hyderabad on Friday, said that they got the drugs at actor Varun Sandesh`s birthday party.

The Langer Houz inspector of police, G Sridhar, said, "Dr Siddartha named Telugu film actors Varun Sandesh, Abhishek and producer Uppalapati Ravi in a video recording. We have to ascertain their involvement in the cocaine racket." Reacting to the allegations, Varun says he had organised no such party on July 21st, as he was busy promoting his film 'Brahmigadi Katha'.

The star feels his name was unnecessarily dragged into the drug scam. "I am ready for blood tests if necessary," says the actor. After police named Sandesh as having links with drug peddlers, some Tollywood figures alleged that the police were naming film personalities in such cases, without any proof.
