Popular Malayalam and Tamil actor Thilakan, was hospitalised at Thrissur following certain neurological problems.

Neurosurgeon, Dr. P C Gilvas, who is treating Thilakan along with his team of doctors, said, "The condition of the 72-year-old actor was stable and he would be shifted to general ward soon."

Reports from Kerala say Thilakan complained of uneasiness while shooting for a film a few days ago and was taken to a nursing home in Palakkad. He was later shifted to Jubilee Mission Medical Hospital College in Thrissur. 

The actor who recently delivered a brilliant role in the film Usthad Hotel is also suffering from pneumonia. 

The actor had also suffered a stroke a few months ago.
