It's  now a known fact that actress Vidya Balan has been approached to do an item number for "Ferrari Ki Sawari", a film backed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

With Bollywood's top actresses like Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone doing the occasional item number that then goes on to become a raje, Vidya feels it's time she tried her hands at it, too. The actress who is known to act in serious roles, is ready to perform in a item song. Ever since Vidya Balan got critically acclaimed for her role in "Parineeta" , she has become Vidhu Vinod Chopra's blue eyed girl.

However, Vidya is up to a great challenging task. She isn't known much for her dancing skills. As per bollywood insiders that her part in the peppy dance number in "Kismet Konnection" was canned, because she just couldn't match steps with Shahid Kapoor. However her song "Ohh La La" made the audiences go ballistic and soon she aqquired the status of a sex symbol in Bollywood. Her acting however overshadowed her dancing skills in the film " The Dirty Picture".

The girl is now adamant to do things differently. She is said to be very adamant about losing weight and getting in shape for her first item song. She is also said to be practicing day-in and day-out on her dance moves. So with a little weight loss programme in place and a choreographer at her disposal Vidya Balan is all set to give the Munni's and Chameli's a run for their money.
