"Thuppakki"  will not just feature Vijay as an actor, but a singer too. For, the 'Ilaya Thalapathi' of Tamil cinema has crooned a peppy number in his forthcoming film, which is being directed by A R Murugadoss.

Harris Jayaraj, who has composed the song, recorded it recently at a state of the art studio in Mumbai. Confirming this on his microblogging page, the music director writes, "Actor Vijay jus sang a party track for "Thuppakki"  in Mumbai, and he came out with flying colours.'

"Thuppakki" is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu on a whopping budget. The film was being shot in Mumbai till January when a strike by film workers hindered the shooting schedule. However, it is expected to start soon.

Kajal Agarwal is playing Vijay's heroine in this action adventure, which is set to hit the screens by the middle of this year.
