Director Kannan has denied reports appeared claiming that Karikalan, the upcoming film of Vikram, is facing problems. He says the project is very much on track and it will be completed soon.

Reports suggested that since Vikram was pre-occupied with his other commitments and that Zareen Khan, one of the actresses of the movie, wasn't keeping well, the shooting of Karikalan, a period movie, had come to a standstill.

However, Kannan said, "There is no change in the schedule of Karikalan. Vikram and Zareen are giving their full co-operation and I must say, this one is a crucial film for Vikram."

Based on the story of Chola King Karikalan, who built the first dam of Tamil Nadu, called Kallanai, Karikalan is known to be a big budget film.
