Vivek To Dress As a Royal Prince For His Wedding

Vivek Oberoi, the B town hunk, who is set to marry Priyanka Alva, a management student, is reportedly going to get the royal touch on his wedding, to be held in Bangalore. Vivek is going to be dressed as the royal prince of on horseback!

As the celebrations for the pre- wedding functions had begun since Wednesday, as Priyankas brothers thread ceremony had been held, on Thursday, with mehendi and ghazal being the flavor of the day.

The wedding day, that is 29th of October, shall have a whole day of activity in the household, with the morning prayers to be held at the Alvas posh residence.

After which, reports are that a shehnai recital is to be held at there as well, with the haldi and chura ceremony( The smearing of turmeric on the bride for good luck, and then wearing the auspicious bangles which only newlyweds are to wear) at 12 am.

There is to be a sehra bandi at 4pm, followed by an amazing high tea arrangement for the coveted guests.

The Baarat is to come at 5.30 pm.followed by the milni (where the girls side welcome each of the boys side relatives with a warm hug and some special gifts) and the jaimala (garland exchange ceremony) at 7 pm.

The bridegroom is to arrive on horseback, with the traditional attire of a true Punjab da puttar, an outfit, designed by the renowned designer Tarun Tahiliani.

The bride, Priyanka Alvas wedding dress too has been designed by the same ace designer. Then reports of a flute recital with rich food, drinks and accompaniments served around, to keep the guests at their glowing best.

The pheras(taking vows around the fire)will be at 11 pm,and it will have both the Alva and the Oberoi traditional values and customs followed during this important ceremony.

However, this wedding is certainly creating a lot of enthusiasm, interest and euphoria, as after all, it is one of the most coveted weddings in the country! We do wish the couple the best in life, a blissfully happily married life!
