Warner Bros. slam Sheen return claims

15th April 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Warner Bros. have described suggestions that Charlie Sheen is returning to Two and a Half Men as false.

The troubled actor was sacked from the hit US programme after making a string of negative comments about producer Chuck Lorre, network CBS and production company Warner Bros. following the production of the show being halted when he received rehab treatment at home.

Charlie has since embarked on a US comedy tour My Violent Torpedo of Truth / Defeat is Not an Option, although earlier in the week the star gave a radio interview saying he was 85% sure he would be returning to the programme.

But according to website TMZ, Warner Bros. have written a letter to Charlies lawyers requesting that he stops suggesting he will be reprising the role of Charlie Harper.

Those statements are false. As you know, there have been no discussions, there are no discussions and there will be no discussions, regarding his returning to or having any involvement with the series, the company reportedly said.

Despite this letter, Charlies lawyer Marty Singer insists there have been meetings taking place. Marty is eager to insist his client would not fabricate such a story.

"There have been discussions as late as Tuesday, and all parties have been involved - Warner Bros., CBS, Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen," Marty told TMZ. "Charlie did not lie about the discussions. There WERE discussions." (C) Cover Media
