Genelia Deshmukh, who has just resumed work post delivery had a narrow escape in Bangkok. The actress was close to the shrine in centre Thailand when an explosion happened.

Fortunately the actress and her hubby Riteish Deshmukh are safe. Tweeting about the dreadful incident, she wrote, "Bomb set off just opp the mall we are currently in -can hear the sirens blazing all over- we are safe but feel terrible for the lives lost."

Next morning she thanked all her well-wishers for their concern. "Good morning..Thank you all for the concern.. Just to inform you we are safe.. #Thankgod4smallmercies"

The couple was apparently shooting for an ad commercial in the country.
