The casting of
'Gulaab Gang' is the prime reason for it being touted as one the most awaited films of the year.
The film brings former competitors cum colleagues
Madhuri Dixit and
Juhi Chawla together for the first time in their careers.
They ruled Bollywood in the late 80s and 90s but were arch rivals and never really worked together then.
However, it was the strong script and roles which bought them together for 'Gulaab Gang'.
At a recent event of the film, Juhi confessed that Madhuri was one of the reasons she chose the film.
"I signed Gulaab Gang because Madhuri was there. I really did it because I thought with this script; it will be amazing if we do it together. On the very first day, I told her (Madhuri), we will make it rock', and we have," said a confident and ever smiling Juhi.
She also cited a very valid point for not working with Madhuri before.
"Comparisons were bound to happen, so to avoid all that tension, I didn't do those films," she added by further claiming that there is no scope of comparison in this one.
"As I am playing a villain in the film, you can't compare the two of us. I neither had to dance nor sing. All that has been done by Madhuri," Juhi said.
Scheduled to release on March 7, 2014, the film is in news for its sensitive subject which is inspired by a group of women activists in the Bundelkhand region.
