(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Whitney Houston reportedly took a large entourage to Clive Davis annual pre-Grammy Awards party.

The American music executive is renowned for hosting a lavish party before the prestigious ceremony. This years bash took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday, with a host of big-name stars flocking to the event.

Whitney arrived with her daughter Bobbi Kristina, in what was one of her first public outings since her recent tour received mixed reviews. The musical legend gave performances of Walk On By and I Say a Little Prayer, and also duetted with her cousin Dionne Warwick on That's What Friends Are For.

The 47-year-olds vocals once again drew mixed reviews, but it was her team of helpers which sparked the most attention. Whitney reportedly had a group of ten employees with her, with the New York Post reporting they ensured no one got too close to her all night.

Also at the party officially called the 2011 Pre-GRAMMY Gala and Salute To Industry Icons Honoring David Geffen - was Black Eyes Peas star Taboo, who was overheard deep in conversation about the groups performance at the Super Bowl last week. The American band took to the stage during half-time at the iconic American football match, but received varying reviews.

The control room messed up, the publication reports Taboo said. You've got to stay positive.

Many of the female guests took the opportunity to stun with their clothing choices, with Miley Cyrus opting for a tight nude number which boasted meshing at the top to reveal her chest area. She was pictured with Kelly Osbourne, whose black frock was made of lace at the top so showed off her underwear.

Katy Perry chose a silver, form-fitting fishtail dress which made the most of her curves. Despite wowing with her fashion choice, the star told the newspaper she was feeling overdressed.

I almost wore the same dress! Randy Jackson then cheerfully told her.

Singer Cher presented industry executive David Geffen with a lifetime achievement prize, and remarked: I have no idea what this award means, but either way I'm sure he deserves it.

Other big names to attend the party included Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Matthew Morrison, Lenny Kravitz and Akon. (C) Cover Media
