(Cover) - EN Star Style - Whitney Port has found a new fitness accessory.

The reality TV star discovered NGR [No Gym Required] shoes, which claim to help you tone up and burn calories simply by wearing them.

The 26-year-old fashion designer was given a pair of the trainers when she forgot to bring her usual gym shoes for a workout, and was impressed by their unique way of toning.

"Hey loves, I got to the gym yesterday and realized that I had forgotten my running shoes," she wrote on her blog. "Luckily, a female trainer in the gym had an extra brand new pair for me to wear! They were these awesome shoes that I had never heard of before, NGR's (No Gym Required). The idea behind the shoes is that you do not need a gym to get in shape!"

Whitney then explained how the footwear is supposed to work. While there are plenty of different fit shoes' on the market that use a curved sole to encourage core stability and a healthier way of walking, NRG trainers work by adding weights to the shoe. Whitney is intrigued by their way of working.

"They are not saying don't go to the gym, but if you can't make it there, you can add the weight slips to the shoe to increase calorie burn and muscle tone. Check out their website for more info, ngrfit.com. xoxo, Whit," she wrote. (C) Cover Media
