The model turned actress rocked it off at the start itself when she made her debut with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in 'Om Shanti Om'. After her successful entry, she made it through bigger hit movies with bigger stars. But with each film, her journey as an actress has been great.

The 25-year-old confesses that in order to get better with films, she challenges herself at regular intervals. "When it comes to work, I am very strict on myself. I seldom get satisfied with my own work as I crave for better performance. And I am glad that I've kept it like this. I'd like to be harsh on myself than be happy with the smallest thing that I do. In order to get better I compete with myself and challenge myself to do better every day. It helps me do better otherwise I'd be stagnant," Deepika said.

The actress who had a super successful release with the film 'Cocktail' this year, has films like 'Race 2', 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' and 'Chennai Express' lined up for release in 2013.
