Last week the media was buzzing with the news of
Deepika Padukone being a part of the
'Fast and Furious' franchise (Read News) and everyone was excited about Bollywood's number one actress making her Hollywood debut. However, it was too early to pop the champagne as Deepika walked out of the project.
'Fast and Furious' producers wanted Deepika to be in the US as early as mid-September, however, the actress is currently in Dubai shooting for
'Happy New Year' with
Shah Rukh Khan.
After the shoot is over, Deepika is set to start shooting for
Saif Ali Khan's home production
'Finding Fanny Fernandes' in which the actress will be seen opposite
Arjun Kapoor.
While Saif was ready to reschedule the dates for Deepika, even then the actress wouldn't have been able to take up the project as she has to start promoting
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's
'Ram Leela' in November.
While Deepika realizes how crucial 'Fast and Furious' was for her International career, the actress has no choice but to honor her commitments back home as Bollywood is her first priority.
