Shubha Phutela, who debuted with the recently released 'Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey', passed away in Bangalore on Tuesday, due to a kidney related ailment. She was only 21.

According to sources, she was undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospital in Bangalore for kidney problem and jaundice for three months, but unfortunately passed away on Tuesday.

Shubha was born in Ludhiana, Punjab to Dr. Rajpal Phutela and Santosh Phutela. Her father, Dr. Rajpal Phutela is a scientist/professor in the field of Microbiology.

Her mother, Santosh Phutela, retired as a teacher. She has an elder sister and a younger brother. Her elder sister is married to an I.T. professional and is settled in the U.S. Her younger brother is doing his Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

As a child, Shubha was very homely and studious. After school, she joined the Dayananda Sagar College in Bangalore to do her graduation in B.E. Computer Science.

Her career in modelling happened by chance, which was followed by acting.
