Aamir Khan and Zaira Waseem starrer 'Secret Superstar' raked a whooping117.61 million dollars approx 750 crores form the Chinese box-office. In India, the film did a business of 63.40 crores. Now the makers of the film have released it in yet another country Hong Kong and it has raked Rs 4.28 crore in just four days of its release.

Directed by Advait Chauhan, Secret Superstar released in India under Aamir Khan Productions banner on October 19, 2017, along with Rohit Shetty's 'Golmaal Again'. Although it didn't reach a milestone in India when we talk about the box-office numbers to restricting the film within 65 crores only. However, taking the film internationally, especially China proved out to be a huge success.

Talking about choosing the script, actress Zaira Wasim said,"Secret Superstar is a beautiful script and I have been very lucky and blessed to have worked with Aamir Khan twice. About the character, Insia, she is a girl with a lot of dreams. The film is about the relationship between a mother and a daughter and the struggles of just every other woman which they are unable to express most of the times."

She concluded saying,"There were so many moments when I had an emotional breakdown because this film is so intense. When the story was narrated to me, it was so intense that I was almost in tears."
