Anil Kapoor to feature in Sci-Fi pilot

23rd November 2016

Hollywood film industry is not new to Anil Kapoor who has already delivered a biggest hit in the form of Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire.' He also made a guest appearance in '24' and 'Mission Impossible- Ghost Protocol.' Now the actor is set to feature in a new pilot which is based on the hit novel 'The Book Of Strange New Things' by Michael Faber.

Thre actor confirmed the news on his Twitter handle by tweeting, "The next chapter begins...#StrangeNewThings! One of the most complex characters I've ever played! @AmazonVideoIN."

The book is basically based on the story of a priest who is sent in space to start a new province but in return his super powers and beliefs are challenged by one experience.

While speaking to a leading daily Anil said, "To be honest, I got the offer thanks to my agent David Unger of Three Six Zero Entertainment. I am very fortunate that I can be a part of this endeavor. This is my first experience with science fiction (unless you count Mr. India). I felt it was the right opportunity and so I just went with it. It is a very daunting task, so I am nervous, anxious, and excited. More importantly, I think there isn't anyone who is not watching TV shows today. Wherever you go -- at a party or a wedding -- the topic of discussion invariably is a character from Narcos or Game of Thrones or now, Westworld. I am just thrilled to be a part of this revolution."

According to reports Matt Charman will write the pilot and Kevin McDonald will direct it.
