Ali Abbas Zafar's upcoming film starring Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan in the lead has roped in Disha Patani, the latest addition to the film's star cast. Reports suggest that Disha will play the role of a trapeze artiste of the 1960s circus. Well, as the athletic physic Disha has she will stand true to this character for sure.
Disha who is a trained Martial arts athlete is looking forward to this pivotal role."Welcome Dish Patani to the journey of 'Bharat'. Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra," director Zafar made it official with his tweet. Now, the 25-year-old will have to train like a pro knowing the rules of a trapeze artist of circus to get under the skin of the character that is from way back in time during vintage India.
The film is an official adaptation to the 2014 South Korean drama, 'An Ode To My Father'. Speaking about Disha's role director Zafar says, 'The pairing of Salman and Disha in a circus set-up in the ’60s is unusual and exciting. She is a promising star and for this character, we needed a girl who looked vulnerable and beautiful yet had the physicality of an athlete. Disha fit the bill perfectly."
Bharat will be shot in Punjab and Delhi in India, and then later in Abu Dhabi and Spain. The film narrates journey of India and Khan's character from 1947 through 2000. Bharat is set for a 2019 Eid release.
