B-town actors Govinda and Shilpa Shetty have worked in few films earlier and the songs of their films were considered to be a hit. Now the actors have landed themselves in a legal soup for a song from their film 'Chhote Sarkar' which was released in the year 1996. According to a leading daily, the actors have been alleged for defaming the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the song, 'Ek Chumma Tu Mujhko Udhaar De De.'
The lyrics of the song read, 'Ek chumma tu mujhko udhar de de, badle mein UP Bihar lele (Lend me a kiss, and in return take UP Bihar).' It all started when a lawyer filed a case in the year 2000 against both the actors.
The hearing for the same was scheduled on June 30 this year, however the actors remained unavailable for the hearing and now they are asked to show up in the court on October 18, 2016.
