The legendary actor, the iconic "He-Man" of Bollywood, Dharmendra turns 80 as he celebrates his birthday today 8th December 2015.

The veteran Dharmendra made his bollywood debut with the 1960 film 'Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere' and immediately got noticed for his acting prowess.

Dharmendra made his presence felt with his debut film but it was his performance in the classic cult all time blockbuster 'Sholay' which cemented his reputation in the industry.

'Sholay' went on to become one of the greatest hits in the history of Indian cinema and after this film Dharmendra immediately achieved superstardom in Bollywood and shortly after, also got the moniker "He-Man" of Bollywood.

Well, having said so much, there are no prizes for guessing that Dharmendra has been nominated for awards quite a few times and he won the Filmfare Award in 1991 in the best film category for 'Ghayal'.

Besides this, he has also been honoured with the 'Padma Bhushan', India's third highest civilian Award by the Indian Government.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Dharmendra has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest actors of our times and the one whom many aspiring actors of today dream to become in their lives.
