Actor Jackie Shroff is roped in for John Abraham's thriller flick titled 'Romeo Akbar Walter' [RAW] in which he is set to play a real-life role of RAW Chief.
Bunty Walia confirmed the news to a leading tabloid and stated, "It was Robbie's (Grewal, director) call to have Jackie sir in the film. His character is based on a real person, a really stylish man from the ’70s, and Jackie sir fits the bill perfectly."
Although the producer didn't give away the identity of the agent that is played by Shroff. The makers are yet to sign the leading lady for the film opposite John. The film is set to go on floors by June as the team has planned a 60-day non-stop shoot. Interestingly, the makers have also roped in the National Award winning makeup artist Vikram Gaikwad to work on the actor's looks while Amera Punwani will be designing his costume.
Director Robbie Grewal talked as of how John's physical transformation is not only the thing we are concerned about but getting the neck of a spy is what he will be extensively trained for. He further said, "John will be attending multiple workshops before the shoot for around 15-20 days to understand how a spy works. He needs to understand how things worked in 1971 and how different they are today in terms of training and interactions. The mental conditioning is as important for a role like this and John’s commitment is fantastic."
Let's see how things go from here on
