Pankaj joins Kabir Khan's reel squad for his next sport drama '83'

Filmmaker Kabir Khan is signing excellent actors for his reel squad for his next sport drama '83'. Joining the illustrious cast of Khan's next is eccentric actor Pankaj Tripathi. The actor is on board to play PR Man Singh, manager of Indian's cricket team who had a crucial role in 1983 World Cup.

Official Twitter handle of the movie, tweeted, "The man behind the champions, #ManSingh, will be played by Actor Extraordinaire @TripathiiPankaj. #CastOf83 @RanveerOfficial @kabirkhankk @RelianceEnt #MadhuMantena @vishinduri #Relive83."

Group CEO of Reliance Entertainment, Shibasish Sarkar tweeted, "Prolific actor @TripathiiPankaj will play the role of #ManSingh . #CastOf83 @kabirkhankk @vishinduri #MadhuMantena @RanveerOfficial."

During an interaction the actor had shared that how he is fond of Kabir's work but never got an opportunity to work with him. The actor was teary eyed when he was narrated the script.

Without having any second thought about signing the film, the actor said, "I must have been around eight or nine at the time but I did read about the win in the papers. It's an inspiring story and I leapt at the opportunity to be a part of the film."

Makers have roped in Ranveer Singh, Tamil star Jiva, Chirag Patil, Sahil Khatter to play Kapil Dev, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Sandeep Patil and Syed Kirmani respectively for this sports drama.
