We surely would not deny the fact that no other actor can carry himself better in heroic roles than Akshay Kumar. Known as an action hero of all times, he has also shown his heroic side in patriotic films like 'Special 26', 'Baby', 'Holiday' and 'Airlift.'

Now the actor is back again with a new patriotic film titled 'Rustom.' We saw his look as an able naval officer standing tall on the poster which released just a couple of days ago. Now the official trailer of the film is out. Akshay shared the link of the trailer on twitter. He tweeted, "Patriot? Traitor? Murderer? The trailer starts with the entry of Akshay Kumar in his Naval officer, Rustom Pavri look. We also get to see snippets of some of the romantic moments spend with his wife(Ileana D'Cruz). The two share a wonderful chemistry as they cherish their love to some of the exotic locations. Everything is hunky-dory until Rustom discovers his wife having an affair with another man. The real suspense starts when Ileana's lover gets killed and fingers are pointed out to Rustom. Three fatal gunshots change the lives of Rustom and people around him. While he is charged with the case of murder, he continues his fight to prove himself right. Even the media helps him to create a good name among the people. Esha Gupta, who plays sister of the deceased has portrayed the character very well. The makers have kept the trailer really simple and have been successful in creating an element of suspense.

Filled with every minute of suspense, this quintessential trailer will compel the viewers to head to theatres as soon as the film releases. Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Ileana D'Cruz, Esha Gupta and Arjan Bajwa in pivotal roles.

Based on the real life incidents, the film is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and will hit the theatres on August 12, 2016.
