Richa Chadda starrer, 'Masaan' which was celebrated at 68th Cannes Film Festival with five minute long standing ovation will be the inaugurated film of the sixth edition of Jagran Film Festival which will kickstart from July 1.
The film will be presented on the auspicious occasion in the evening by director, Ghaywan and the star cast of the film.
Manoj Srivastava, festival's consultant expressed, "It's a matter of pride to open the festival with such a prestigious and worthy film. 'Masaan' is just the beginning; the festival has a lot in store for film delegates this year."
Masaan which stars Richa Chadda and Sanjay Mishra in lead roles will also compete for Indian Showcase Awards which will be held in Mumbai in September.
