Sonakshi Sinha's upcoming film 'Akira' is making news since the first poster released just a few days ago. Shotgun junior will be seen in a tough avatar flaunting her fighting skills with some badass action. The trailer of the film is now released and we can only see Sonakshi in it. She tweeted the link of the trailer on her twitter saying, "Make way for #Akira - get ready for all action and all the guts. The trailer starts with the entry of Akira, a happy-go-lucky college girl hailing from Jodhpur, but further shifts to Mumbai with her mom to pursue her further studies. She hopes for a better future by erasing all the memories of her difficult childhood. But she finds herself in the middle of something menacing. Suddenly she realises the fact that she is about to lose her family, her friends when someone tries to hunt her and destroy her identity.

Anurag Kashyap is portraying a grey character very well. Sona is also successful in showcasing her fighting skills as she is seen doing action sequences almost in the entire trailer. The trailer ends with a catchy line "No One Will Be Forgiven."

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film is a remake of the Tamil film 'Mouna Guru.' It also stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Mithun Chakraborty and Amit Sadh in pivotal roles. It is slated to release on September 2, 2016.
